The past two years we've brought computers to burning man to provide access to PlayaInfo's digital directory and provide internet access to those who have emergency situations. This year we're working the the ARTery on a system to help them manage the artwork on the playa, and we'll be providing these tools to everyone else too via our terminals.
Our village is
THEBRANE, and roamnet is based in Los Angeles, although we have people from San Francisco as well.
The photo to the left is from 2003, when we wanted to do a roaming set of public terminals. Last year we scaled back to two terminals, one of which had a webcam that people used to take photos of themselves, and this year we're going to try to setup three again, in one of our new domes.
