my guess for the "failure" of wrist computers are the compromise in interface that have to be done.

now if we could have a pocketable system that didnt require us to type on small buttons and read a tiny screen, we are go.

but to do that we most likely have to tap into the nervous system of the body so that we can overlay a keyboard over any surface, or even dictate using thought, and see the result hover in front of us.

I have a SEIKO UC-3000 model, problem is I damaged
the transmission coil in the waych when changing battery therefore watch does not work.

Is there a way to replace the coil, or is there a specification for coil ie wire size, turns etc.

This is really cool. Will have to put it in a story.

My father owned it when it came out (which by definition meant I spent as much time with it as he did). The keypad was never intended to be worn with the watch.

A hand held chorded keyboard is another portable input option. Of course there is a learning curve...

Funny. Now we call them cell phones (iPhone) and they don't even attach to our wrist!!! But I'm guessing they're capable of a bit more than the UC-2000.
